There have been a number of great movies released this year with Fast and Furious 6 and Iron Man 3 leading the pack. Seeing the exciting action movies that have graced the Hollywood this year, let’s see what 2014 has in store for the cinema goes. Here is a list of the ten most awaited movies that would be released at some time in 2014.


1. X-Men: Days of Future Past

The X-men franchise has been quiet for a long time with the last film in the series being X-Men: First Class that was released in 2011. The film’s story revolves around a mission involving x-men as they travel to the past in order to correct a few things which would impact the future of the entire world. The movie is being touted as the sequel to X-Men: Last Stand and will be directed by Bryan Singer.



2. Fast & Furious 7

After the immense success of Fast & Furious 6, the franchise would come back again next year to entertain the movie lovers with an action packed film that would take your breath away. The film would feature Jason Statham along with Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson and will be directed by the talented Michael Bay.



3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The film that would carry on the legend of Captain America will be released in 2014 and would be Marvel’s second super hero movie since the release of Avengers. The film will not only feature the character of Captain America but will also have the role of Natasha Romanoff as well. This sci-fi flick is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.



4. The Expendables 3

If loud action and unbelievable stunts are what you crave in movies then you would love seeing the third installment of the Expendables series. After two blockbuster hits, the franchise would return in 2013 with similar characters who would once again be involved in some jaw dropping action. Nicolas Cage is also in the cast this time around along with Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham.


5. Godzilla

Godzilla is another most anticipated movie and will bring the legend of Godzilla to the big screen. The film’s story revolves around how the giant creature wakes up from his slumber to bring destruction to mankind.



6. The Hobbit: There and Back Again

After the immense success of the first movie in the Hobbit series, the movie would return again in 2014 to amaze all the Lord of the Rings fans. Based loosely on Tolkien’s novel, the story would once again revolve around Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf and their venture into Smaug’s lair.



7. The Amazing Spider Man 2

The Amazing Spider Man gave a new look the Spider Man franchise and the second installment would try to build on the success of the first movie. With Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield in the cast, the film would further explore the life of Peter Parker.



8. 21 Jump Street 2

21 Jump Street remains one of the best comedy movies of all time and the second installment would like to explore the story further. Even though the plot of the film is still unknown but knowing the quality of Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the film is expected to be another hit.


9. Divergent

To take a break from all the action-packed movies in the list, here is one movie that is expected to stun a lot of people. Divergent’s story revolves around a girl who runs away from her own clan and falls in love with an elderly member of a rival clan. Featuring Kate Winslet, the movie is going to be directed by Neil Burger.



10. Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy is another sci-fi movie that will be released in 2014. Set in the universe rather than on Earth, the film is going to be directed by James Gunn and will feature John C. Reilly and Zoe Saldana in leading roles.
